Land with current house.  Bounded by road of dwelling of Maria J. T. Chase (Colby Lane) and land of Dr. T. Kenison to land of Eliza Hall. Then Westerly along land of Hall to land of Frederick Kimball.

1822, Feb 22: Moses S. Moody (Moses Swan Moody??) of New Sharron in Kennebec County Maine (Gentleman) to David Elliott (315/240). From Joseph Estabrook to Moses Moody Land 33R. by Moses moody 11R to E. Foot’s land. Running northerly 5R to land of Elias Weld then westerly 55 rods by Weld and Daniel Swan, southerly 12R by driftway. Reserving privileged to Moses Chase, Benjamin Chase and Enoch Foot to pass and re pass as necessary.  Moses S. Moody probably got this land from Elizabeth Moody, his aunt and adopted mother.

1831: David Elliott owns land behind Moses Jaques (Nathan Chase to John Ladd deed 261/294) Plat 430, Block 7, Lot 4

Moses and Ruth Ann might have gotten this from Samuel Bradley and Ruth Pike (Bradley).  They lived in New Sharon Maine. Samuel is son of Samuel and Sarah Wingate (d. of Paine and Mary Balch)

Foot, then easterly by Daniel H. Hall 7R, then northerly 5R to Timothy Kinneson, then westerly about 7R by Kinneson to bound first mentioned. Reserving pass and repass to Simeon Chase, Daniel H. Hall, and Enoch Foot. (lot 8)

1850, Aug 16:  Samuel C. Foot and Betsy H. Foot to Moses Brookings (453/116). $150.00 Parcel of land Starting at land of Moses Atwood (Lot 8 Colby lane) and running west by Daniel Hall and Joseph Estabrook’s land 21R 15L to land of Mrs. William Smith, then running northerly by Smith land 21R 3L to road leading to Merrimac Bridge, then easterly by road 16R 18L to land of Edward Sealy, then south by Sealy land 5.5R, then easterly by Sealy, Jaques, and Kinnesen, 12 R to land of Atwood, then south on Atwood 6R 8l to the bound first mentioned.  (lot 4) Also 76 rods of land with barn bounded as follows, starting at northwest corner of land above and running south 7R, then running easterly 7R by the land of Daniel Hall, then northerly 5 Rods to land of Kinneson and westerly by Kinneson about 7R to bound first began (second piece is Lot 8)

Maynard (573/260). Starting at land of Moses Atwood (Lot 8 Colby lane) and running west by Daniel Hall and Joseph Estabrook’s land 21R 15L to land of Hiram Lord, then running northerly by Lord land 21R 3L to road leading to Merrimac Bridge, then easterly by road 16R 18L to land of Patrick Riley then south by Riley land 5.5R, then easterly by Riley, Jaques, and Kinnesen, 12 R to land of Brookings, then south on Brookings 6R 8l to the bound first mentioned. Also 76 rods of land with barn bounded as follows, starting at northwest corner of land above and running south 7R, then running easterly 7R by the land of Daniel Hall, then northerly 5 Rods to land of Kinneson and westerly by Kinneson about 7R to bound first began (second piece is Lot 8) reserving the right for Hall, Simeon Chase, and Enoch Foot to pass and repass.

1861, Apr 26: Charles Ramsey to John R. Estabrook (621/278) Lot 4 and 8

1869, Aug 14: John L. Estabrook (son of John R.) to William Colby (785/64) Starting at Kinneson’s garden and running south by passageway to Augustus Chase 5R 6L to Daniel H. Hall. Then westerly 3R17L, then northerly this day deeded to Frederick Kimball 5R6L, then easterly by Kinnison 3R 16L to beginning.  Lot 8. Estabrook sells lot 4 to Frederick Kimball same day.

Then westerly 3R17L, then northerly by Frederick Kimball 5R6L, then easterly by Kinnison 3R 16L to beginning.

1876: Richard G. Colby to Clara J. Blackburn (968/1, discharge: 1225/74 in 1888)

1892 map suggests that R Colby owns it.
