The Noyes/Noyce family can be traced back to John Noyes b 1483 England m Sarah Hastings.

Stephen’s probate: 48465 dated 1867. He gives 10 shares in Boston and Maine railroad (given to his wife Fanny (Ayer – Hills) sister of Ruth Ayer, Samuel C. gets:  two shares in Rocks Bridge, 1/6th part of farm income, Land. Stephen E. gets: Money to take care of brother Thomas who is in hospital in Worcester. Samuel Noyes is listed as comb manufacturer in 1830 census

 1761 November 130/265 John Chase sell 4.75 acres to Stephen Noyes. Bounded by Merrimac River 16.5 Poles, 72 poles along 12 Rod way (called highway), Daniel Pillsbury 62 poles, North by Samuel Chase 19 Poles.  This land sold to John Moody of West Newbury (321/70) May 27, 1840 Both halves of 1/2 undivided land from Stephen Noyes, Mary Chase, Betsy Noyes and Ruth Noyes along with other land in West Newbury.

15 Wharf: Ben Chase died 1831. PROBATE 5097: House and land occupied by Hall worth $600. M. Chase house with land adjoining $300. Committee allocates 1/2 house to Betsy, ½ to Fullingtons, to Hall another dwelling house bounded e on highway, n on Foot, w on the Moses Chase lot, s on Poyen ($680). (15 wharf lane).
