Robert Peaslee was at one time the owner of two slaves. Amos Peaslee, Amos Davis, John Sanders, John Swett, Joseph Greele and
William Morse were also slave-owners in the East Parish, between the

Mary Peaslee (daughter of Joseph and Ruth Barnard) was born 6 months after her parents were married She married Joseph Whittier, The great grandparents of John Greenleaf Whittier (lineage: John/Abigail Hussey, Joseph/Sarah Greenleaf, Joseph/Mary Peaslee.

Peter Ayer, born 1 October 1696, married Lydia Perley (sometimes written as Peasley) of Boxford on 17 January 1720-1, she was the daughter of Jacob and Lediah Perley. Lydia died on 29 September 1750, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Peter married on 22 January 1750-1 (second) Elizabeth Carleton. Peter died in 1774. He was a Deacon.
