Morse:

Shirley Puffer Morse (John H., Henry, Gideon, Henry, William5, William4, BENJAMIN3, ANTHONY2, ANTHONY1)

Born in Enfield NH in 1893, Shirley P. Morse married Helen B. Woodward in 1914 in Lebanon NH. Helen was also born in 1893. They had a stillborn child Lehman M. Morse in 1915. Shirley registered for the draft for WW I. They moved to New Haven CT before 1920. They had Robert Edward in 1918, William in 1922 and Helen in 1925. Robert Edward probably died in Texas in 1968. Bailey/Chase: Stephen Bailey was the father of Simeon Chase’s Wife, Betsy Bailey.  Court ordered land to be sold to David Bailey on his death in 1805. Was this David’s land or Simeon’s.  Was it west newbury or Haverhill? Two of Simeon’s daughters by his first wife, Ann Woodward, married Baileys. Eliza married Thomas Bailey and Ann married Harrison Bailey. Both Baileys were from Barre, Vermont.

Chase/Morse:

Thomas Chase married (2) Elizabeth (Woodhead/Woodward) Moores/Mooers, on 2 Aug 1714 in Newbury.
Elizabeth Woodhead Moores was born in Chelmsford, Mass. on 28 Dec 1674, the daughter of William and Mary (Browne) Woodhead, and was the widow of Jonathan Moores. She had a daughter Mary Mooers with Jonathan. (source: Branko)
Thomas wrote his will on 3 Aug 1732 and it was proved on 25 Feb 1733/43. Elizabeth was living when the will was proved. (86)
