Edward B. Germain was active in the RV community. He was on the Rocks Village Improvement Association when it started in 1908 along with his father John B. Germain. Carl along with Howard, and George were honorary members as they were below 15 years of age in 1908.
He was Massachusetts Private HO VRP 12 Division, WWI (Find a Grave)

John Germain was a draw keeper of the bridge in 1912. He was a Civil War Veteran,Co.D,7th.New Hampshire inf.member of Major Howe G.A.R.Post#47, (Find a Grave). His naturalization from Canada was in 1845.

Deeds show that John B. and Emma C. lived at 4 River Road, Merrimac starting in 1916.

1940, Oct 5:  Part of land from City of Haverhill to Frank Sweeney (on Wharf Lane) (3234/13) Maybe small wedge piece of land that bounces back and forth between 47 and 37 East Main Street in the 70s.
1955, Sept 6:  Edward B. Germain to Newton (4253/1) running along Colby’s lane 188′,9″ on various courses to land formerly owned by Eben Colby, thence easterly on Eban Colby land to land of T. J. Orne 84′, 6″, thence northerly 165′, 2″ to Main Street, then west on Main Street 47.91′.
