Joseph Hoyt of Amesbury had a mortgage on 15 Wharf Lane in 1798 to Samuel Bradley for 1/2 the house. In 1804, Joseph Hoyt of Amesbury sold 1/2 of 15 Wharf Lane to Nathaniel Emery (176/199) and in 1810 there was a deed that went from Capt Joseph Hoyt of Hampton Falls to Joseph Hoyt of Amesbury (190/59). No wives are listed in any of these Joseph Hoyt deeds

Daniel Cate Hoyt (1798 -1869) was a farmer and involved in the Underground Railway. His house being in Nicholsville (corner of 110 and Homstead Street). On the 1881 map, his wife Lydia (xx – 1890) owned 34 acres in that location. Two of his children lived directly in the village. Mary Wyman Hoyt (1835 – xx) married J. G. Getchell and lived on Wharf lane and Sarah Hills Hoyt (1841 – xx) marries Stephen Noyes in 1862 and lives at 28E Main.

Humphrey Hoyt and Alice B. (Sawyer) Hoyt owned 12 River Road from Apr 1828 to Sept 1828. Purchased from John Johnson Jr. and sold to Sarah Sawyer (248/210) and (251/11) respectively. They lived in Bradford.

Charles S. [T. int.], and Hannah S. Wyatt of Newburyport [Nov. 1, 1838. CR1].* is listed in the 1860’s Protector #3 company.

Albert Hoyt was listed in the 1860’s Protector #3 company

Frederick W. P. Goodwin (1811-xx) who married Betsy Hoyt of Newton was in the 1860’s Protector #3 Company.

1835: Ensign Sargent Hunkins and John Hunkins to Daniel C. Hoyt 1 undivided 1/3 of 20 acres mentioned above.

1838, Nov 30: Benjamin Nichols of Antrim for Phineas Nichols estate to Hazen Kimball (316/155). Woodland containing 8 acres beginning at the northwesterly corner by land of col. John Johnson then southerly by land of Johnson 29R then easterly by land of Ephraim Elliot 37R 7/10th to land of Moses George then northerly by George’s land 26R 3/10th, then westerly by road 9R 5/10th, then westerly by land of Daniel C. Hoyt 41R 7/10th to beginning being part of the Colby Lot so called. (this is next to above land)

In 1839, Daniel Hoyt bought “Meadows” from Hannah Silloway Esterbrook.

1832 Mary Ayer, widow of Richard Ayer to Daniel C. Hoyt. About 38.5 acres lying on the northerly side of great pond beginning at the division wall about 29R northerly of the dwelling house then running easterly about 58R to the pasture fence then running westerly to the land of Jacob Caldwell then running easterly about 49R to the land of Daniel Johnson then southerly 85R 17L to the pond road then westerly about 90R along Pond Road then northerly by the Esquire Ayer road leading to Esq. James Ayer 75R to bound first mentioned. Could be the same piece that Lydia has in 1881 map. (298/15)

In 1840, Daniel Hoyt sells 1/2 acre to Ezekiel Hale in 1840. Near pond and Fish House (not sure if same piece of land)

In 1847 Daniel C. Hoyt, Thomas Elliott and Julia A. Nichols sell land in East Parish Haverhill near county bridge to Molly Morse and Rhoda England (386/168). Julia A. Nichols (d. of W. D. S. Chase) is the widow of John Nichols grandson of Phineas through Benjamin.

1852, Oct 6: Daniel C. and Lydia Hoyt to John Nichols (483/39) 1.25 acres with building excluding a blacksmith shop and privileged granted to Nabby Davis in her father Phineas Nichols’ will. Bounded southerly by road leading from Amesbury to Haverhill Village, westerly by road leading by John Foot’s, and easterly by land of Robert Stuart.  Also 2.5 acres of meadow land bounded southerly by land of Daniel C. Hoyt, westerly by County Brook, northerly by Mary DeMerritt, and easterly by William England
